The early years spent among the beautiful Volyn nature has strongly influenced Igor’s further creativity. Igor Mosiychuk is a People’s Artist of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, a board member of the Transnistria Union of Artists, a professor, a Head of the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts at the Taras Shevchenko Transnistria State University. He works in the field of graphic arts, sculpture and design.

His artworks are displayed in museums and preserved in private collections in Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, the USA, France, Germany and Switzerland. Igor Mosiychuk is a participant of 70 republican, 40 international and 9 personal exhibitions. He has won many international awards.

The artist’s creativity is so multifaceted that it is difficult to isolate the main one, and yet watercolor painting takes a special and precious place in his heart.

Igor likes to say, “In translation, aquarelle means “aqua”, or water, and watercolor painting is as unpredictable as the water itself. Therefore, even if the artist knows what he / she is about to paint, it is worth remembering that sometimes the watercolor makes its own adjustments, so you should always listen to it and the feelings you want to convey”.

Igor’s soulful and warm landscapes are admired all over the world. The mastery of the whole watercolor techniques diversity enables him to depict various states and conditions of Mother Nature.

Each of his landscapes is filled with an intimate feeling, deep emotions and mood. When looking at his paintings, you cannot tear your eyes away, that’s how breathtaking and enchanting are they for a viewer.

Igor works on wet paper in the Alla Prima technique, so the gentle picturesque of the painting gives lightness and airiness to his pieces of art.

What makes Igor’s artworks unique is an ease with watercolor painting coupled with wonderful compositions. In the polyphony and diversity of his landscapes there is always an expressive unity and a major life-affirming beginning.

It’s good luck to learn from such a master, especially given his extensive artistic expertise as a tutor.
